While looking for modern and stylish sorority swank for my friend's daughter when she was going to be initiated at Southern Methodist University, I could not find anything! Thus the inspiration for me to create Ring Ching Ching was born and established in 2008! With the help of a graphic designer I designed my first stationery to give her as a gift and it was a hit!
I was a Pi Phi at the University of Southern California. Unlike today, we were pledges (now called new members!) for over six months before becoming an active! I had to learn all the names of the actives in the house and to this day can tell you something about each of my 53 pledge sisters. Today, I have a close friendship with many of my sorority sisters and have an instant bond with anyone I meet today that was a former Pi Phi! Thus, I wanted to name my company after something that reflected my Pi Phi experience. This led me to name my company “Ring Ching Ching” after a song we would sing at Monday night dinners! This name brings a smile to a fellow Pi Phi when she hears it!
Today, I am a single mom and have two children. My daughter is now a Sophomore and a Pi Phi at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and my son is a Senior in High School, is an active volleyball player and will be off to college next year!
I hope you enjoy all the merchandise as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it, not just for my Pi Phi sisters but for ALL you sisters out there!
